Yes, you read that right. In just 77 days the Hartford Yard Goats will be making their debut at Dunkin Donuts Park on the corner of Pleasant and Main Streets. The Yard Goats are the Double A team affiliated with the Colorado Rockies that are said to have some of the most important prospects in all of Major League Baseball.
The Yard Goats will be an exciting addition to the city of Hartford and will be a great opportunity to get together with friends and family to watch some quality baseball.
While there were many delays with the construction of the park, many believe that the delays are worth it. The park will easily be one of the nicest in all of Major League Baseball including Triple A teams.
Yard Goats General Manager, Tim Restall, is ecstatic with the thought of baseball returning to Hartford. He believes it will be a great thing for the Hartford residents to rally behind.
"They want to laugh, they want to have fun," Restall said. "Whether dancing in the stands and seeing themselves on the Jumbo Tron or getting a selfie with their favorite mascot, these are all part of the Yard Goats entertainment experience."
Fireworks will kick off and end the season, and be set off 24 times overall, mostly on Friday and Saturday nights.
